Gracious… is a Toronto-based dance entertainment
company dedicated to the art of fire dancing. Breathtaking
to behold, fire dancing proves to be an exhilarating and
dramatic experience for the entire audience.
Co-founded
by Natalie Fullerton and Lara Ebata in 2002, Goodness Gracious…
has since appeared in a short IMAX film, Stage Fright,
directed by Mark Bethune; at a variety of Harbourfront festivals
during the 2003, 2004, & 2005 seasons; the Fringe Festival
of Independent Dance Artists Site Specific works,
the Grande Scale Event 2003 &2004; the Junction
Arts Festival 2003; DORA award winning productionVariété,
directed by Ross Manson; Taste theTalent, directed
and produced by Katarina Rajkovic and Siona Jackson; the
OttawaFringe Festival 2005; Le Foot Cabaret,
as part of fFIDA 2005; Niagara Falls Winter Festival
of Lights 2005 and most recently across Canada for
The Bank of Montreal annual Bravo Awards.
Natalie Fullerton
and Lara Ebata are classically trained dancers, having studied
ballet, modern, jazz, classical East Indian, Latin, and
Afro-Caribbean. Both hold Bachelor of Fine Arts degrees
from York University and are currently professional dancers
in the Toronto dance community. It is this rich and
varied background that enables Goodness Gracious…
to put a new spin on an ancient art form. |
